Living room

If you enjoy privacy and quiet , our rooms will delight you. In summer months each room has air-conditioning  controlled by you. All rooms have private baths that include plenty of towels and a hair dryer.  I cold months, the Beech and Lilac rooms have separate thermostats which you may adjust to your comfort.   Breakfast is served each morning in our dining room, and in cold weather you can enjoy the warmth from the fireplaces in both the dining and living rooms.

The Acorn’s Hope also offers wireless WiFi.

The Quince Room

Quince Room

The Quince Room, newly updated and repainted a soft golden tone. The Quince room, on the second floor, has the ambiance of a charming European suite.

New off-white carpeting and  oriental rug , upholstered chairs, Oriental lingerie chest plus the lovely cherry sleigh bed and lace curtains enhance the calm elegance of this room. Bathroom en suite, A/C of course. Click on thumbnails below for more images.

The Beech Room

Beech Room

The Beech room is the newest addition and the largest room. This King Bed,  summery,  wicker room occupies the North Wing of the house and is very quiet. if you are traveling with young children-we won’t here you and you won’t hear us!. Graced with  cherry floors, overhead fan, A/C, original artwork, and sitting area,the Beech room greets you with a flowered walkway to your private entrance. In the winter a separate thermostat allows you to adjust the temperature to your liking.

The large tiled bath boasts a great  Victorian style sink and a tub/shower combo.

The Lilac Room

Lilac Room

The Romantic Lilac Room occupies the South wing of the house. This Cherry canopied Queen bed room is exceptionally quiet and peaceful. With its crewel-work wing chair, 19th Century cherry bureau, and American Cherry floors, glass topped table, the Lilac room is a favorite romatic get-away destination. In off season months the Lilac room plus the living room make a cozy private suite. In winter, a separate thermostat allows you to adjust the temperature to your liking.
